New plans to attract investment

PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is set to meet international money managers today to promote Malaysia as one of Asia's top investment destinations.

He will speak at the Credit Suisse Asian Investment Conference (AIC), a popular annual get-together for fund managers in Asia.

Najib is likely to speak about his plans to transform the economy, which he expects to expand at least six per cent this year, and highlight measures taken to improve its competitiveness. ....more

Micro-enterprises expected to be ready for export market in 5 years

GEORGE TOWN: The Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama) wants to get ready the micro-enterprises involved in the manufacturing of food products for export in five years.

Fama service director Mansor Omar told StarBiz that Fama would provide training for the micro-enterprises in labelling, packaging, and familiarising them with the health regulations of overseas countries.....more
